Longborough Festival Opera 2022. WAGNER's Siegfried, Eric KORNGOLD's Die tote Stadt, BIZET's Carmen and Francesca Caccini’s La liberazione di Ruggiero dall’isola d’Alcina (The liberation of Ruggiero from the island of Alcina) paired with Freya Waley-Cohen’s contemporary dramatic song cycle Spell Book will all be featured in this year's festival at this purpose-built opera house in the heart of the Cotswolds.

At its Cotswold venue in Moreton-in-Marsh Gloucestershire, LFO is performing WAGNER's Siegfried, Eric KORNGOLD Die tote Stadt, BIZET's Carmen and Francesca Caccini’s La liberazione di Ruggiero dall’isola d’Alcina (The liberation of Ruggiero from the island of Alcina) one of the earliest surviving operas by a woman composer, paired in this production with Freya Waley-Cohen’s contemporary dramatic song cycle Spell Book .

Martin and Lizzie Graham started promoting opera in the grounds of their home in 1991 as Banks Fee Opera. Longborough Festival Opera has since grown into an established opera company, situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, with an annual season taking place in a purpose-built opera house seating 500.
