THE KIMMERIDGE PARTNERS WITH CREATIVE DEBUTS ON UNIQUE ART PROJECT TO SHOWCASE HOMEGROWN TALENT New residential development located in Botley, The Kimmeridge, which officially launches in  the New Year, is partnering with community arts group Creative Debuts to support emerging artists and shine a light on local talent with the launch of its arts collaboration.  Artists of all abilities, genres of art, individuals or groups, from the local Oxford area are invited to submit to the commissioning project, which will see a selected piece take center stage within the new development, plus a £3,000 cash prize. Creative Debuts is a platform designed to support talented emerging artists in navigating the art industry and, working with the UK’s largest listed residential landlord Grainger plc, they’re issuing an open call out for all up-and-coming artists in the Oxford area to submit their art for a potential commission.   The aim is for the commissioned artwork is to be symbolic of the local area, significant to the artist, and to delve into the city of Oxford and the feelings it evokes.  The chosen artwork will be commissioned by Grainger to be created, with supplies covered by Grainger, and installed within the amenity space of the new build-to-rent development, allowing a budding artist to showcase their work to hundreds of residents, plus visitors, all while having their work commissioned for the first time. In addition to this commissioning opportunity the chosen artist will be awarded £3,000 to support their craft. Working collaboratively, art will be chosen by a panel including Fiona McDonald, Head of On-boarding and Calum Hall, Founder at Creative Debuts.   An unveiling event will take place in February to reveal the chosen artwork in an exclusive showcase.  Fiona McDonald, Head of Onboarding at Grainger said: “The Kimmeridge is our first-ever development in Oxford and brings a brand-new way of renting to the local area. We wanted to try something new with the artwork, to really celebrate the city within our new development, whilst providing a platform for a local artist.   “We put the community at the heart of everything we do at Grainger and the launch of our exciting arts collaboration is no exception. Working closely with Creative Debuts and their talent pool we hope to support talented aspiring artists. We can’t wait to see the amazing submissions.”  Calum Hall, Founder at Creative Debuts said: “Partnering with Grainger and The Kimmeridge on this new exciting project is a fantastic opportunity for local aspiring artists to showcase their work.  “Our aim is to champion emerging artists and help them navigate the trials of the art world. Opportunities and call outs like this are so important for artists to showcase their work to new audiences, acting as a springboard for their future careers as well as supporting them financially. “We’d encourage all local artists to submit as it’s such a fantastic opportunity to have your work in a brilliant building that’s all about celebrating the local community.” The Kimmeridge will provide 150 new rental homes and is a milestone for Grainger and for Oxford as it marks a significant step forward in the city’s rental market as the first build-to-rent in Oxford. Named to celebrate Botley’s rich history of Kimmeridge clay resources the building offers a mix of one, two and three-bedroom homes, plus extensive resident amenity spaces, including large outdoor roof terrace, lounge area, private dining room, flexible co-working spaces, plus a fully equipped gym, all designed to create a blossoming community within the building.  For more information on how to submit, visit https://www.creativedebuts.co.uk/oxford, alternatively contact calum@creativedebuts.co.uk or  grainger@wearebrazenpr.com.
